Snooker Betting – Championship League July-August 2021 Review
On Sunday, July 18, the first rating competitions of the 2021-2022 snooker season started. The tournament is played across three weeks, Currently Stage 1 is running, featuring two tables per day. Let's talk about the results and players performance so far. Snooker Champions League has the following rules: there are 128 players. At the first stage of the tournament, they are divided into groups of four snooker players. Let’s talk about the deadliest Group No. 32, where the six-time world champion Ronnie O'Sullivan, Mark Joyce, Ian Burns and Saghib Nasir, who replaced Eun Onyi, competed for the entry to the next stage. Ronald O'Sullivan showed ultra-attacking snooker, but the execution of many risky blows did not prevent him from winning two games: 3-1 with Burns, 3-0 with Nasir, and tied one game with Joyce (2-2). Ronald's highest break was a series of 88 points.
At the same time, there were the games of the 6th group. where Mark Lloyd, Andrew Higginson, Michael Holt and Fergal O'Brien were fighting for the next stage. Michael Holt and Fergal O'Brien were both leading the group as they scored the same number of points, they also tied in frames. However, the Irish had a century (100), which allowed him to go further.
Looking at the results of previous days, we now know the leaders of the 7th, 23rd, 19th and 8th groups. In the 7th group, Walden was an absolute leader, Ricky got three out of three victories in fights with Allan Taylor, Nigel Bond and Oliver Brown.
In group No 23 Ursenbacher showed similar results. Alexander didn’t give his opponents Leo Fernandez, Aaron Hill and Scott Donaldson a single frame to win and confidently made it out of the group.
In the 19th group Ali Carter won two meetings out of three against Michael Georgiou, Dominic Dale and Sidney Wilson and was selected for the second round.
While in the 8th group Peter Lines was selected for the second round, as a result of winning two meetings with Mark Williams, Jack Jones and Hammad Mia.
